Cuba's digital destination
About Lou Morgan
Welsh, currently based in London I work in education with young people experiencing challenging circumstances. My interest in photography and video developed when I designed projects for the young people I work with. As well as delivering arts projects for young people I began to develop my own freelance work and have been commissioned for different media based projects.
I studied postgraduate video production and film theory and always had a very strong interest in documentary. My photography tends to have a documentary focus; my interests generally concern people and the built environment. I have traveled to Cuba twice and will visit again this April/May. I like to explore on foot, spending 12-hour days wandering and taking photographs. On my last Cuba visit I spent a lot of time in Centro Habana, I also found the smaller town of Cardenas fascinating.
I currently do photography commissions and sell work via Getty Images. The Guardian reviewed my Cuba portfolio very favorably and I also won the Telegraph ‘Big Picture’ travel photography competition.
