Cuba Absolutely Review: December 2012
La Ferminia is set in an elegant converted colonial mansion towards the end of Siboney (Flores). There is a lot of space both inside in one of a handful of beautifully furnished rooms, and outside on a large garden patio. This is quite a smart place, which used to have a dress code. The food is really the standard upmarket Cuban state place style, shrimp and lobsters and steak, much of which is grilled. It is not that it is bad, simply unexceptional and the décor looks a bit worn. Personally I’m not a buyer of this faded glamour but it has to be noted that plenty of people like the place.
