There are few hotels, which we would recommend going for lunch or dinner but the Meliá Habana is certainly one. The hotel features acres of marble but a lot more greenery than its uglier twin in Vedado. La Bella Cubana is one of a number of restaurants on the bottom (basement) floor next to the swimming pool. It has a very pleasant (if somewhat sterile) atmosphere and serves up excellent oriental fusion cuisine masterfully prepared by the Chef Roberto Yagui. Not cheap but if you crave a bit of peace and quiet with no hassle and good quality food then well worth a look.
