A gathering of poets from all the continents on the globe will be engaged in an intense program including seminars, lectures taking place in all of Cuba’s provincial capitals, writing laboratories and visual arts exhibitions together with celebrations for the World Assembly of Poets in the Defense of Humanity. The event will be dedicated to the bicentenaries of the Cuban poets Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda and José Jacinto Milanés, as well as to the centenary of Cubans Gastón Baquero, Ángel Gaztelu and Samuel Feijoo.
